Regularized Structural Equation Modeling with Both Factors and Components

Regularized IGSCA extends integrated generalized structured component analysis to address multicollinearity and variable selection in models containing both factors and components. The method applies penalties separately to loadings and path coefficients and estimates the model through a penalized least-squares criterion. The paper evaluates the approach in a simulation study and illustrates its use with empirical data.
